Vāstu or Vāstu Shastra strives to bring meaning to design and construction by integrating concepts of nature, energy, and yantra (mandala) with design principles such as layout, ground preparation, spatial arrangements, and measurements. These ancient building concepts stretch back thousands of years and are the culmination of other art forms including dance, poetry, music and more. Because we inhabit the 3-D form of our space, it has a profound effect on our daily lives. 

A house or office that is built without considering nature’s laws and influences leads to unpleasant travels, failures, and disappointment. But a building that is structured according to the laws of Vastu attracts happiness, riches, health, and peace. For the benefit of humankind all houses, villages, and cities should be built in harmony with nature.
